PROVO, Utah — BYU is doing what it could possibly to ensure head coach Kalani Sitake sticks round for awhile.
On Tuesday, the varsity introduced a contract extension for Sitake that can preserve him in command of the Cougars program by way of the 2025 season.
Since taking on in December 2015, Sitake has led BYU to a 38-26 file, together with final yr’s 11-1 season that ended with a bowl victory over UCF.
“We’re glad to signal Kalani to an extension that retains him linked to BYU for years to return,” stated BYU Director of Athletics Tom Holmoe. “That is about setting our student-athletes up for achievement. Kalani’s tradition of affection and studying has created an unimaginable surroundings for his student-athletes and Cougar Nation that we’re all impressed by.”
Sitake, who performed fullback for BYU, will lead the Cougars into the 2021 season opener towards Arizona on Saturday.
