Begin the Barty! Australian wins Wimbledon for 2nd main

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Ash Barty has gained the Wimbledon championship for her second Grand Slam title.

The highest-seeded Barty took the primary 14 factors of the ultimate after which held off a comeback to beat eighth-seeded Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3 on Saturday.

Barty is the primary Australian girl to win the singles trophy on the All England Membership since Evonne Goolagong in 1980.

Barty was the junior champion at Wimbledon a decade in the past, then left the tennis tour for practically two years in 2014 due to burnout.

However she returned to tennis and now provides this title to her triumph on the 2019 French Open.
